Are you deficient in Vitamin D?

Those in the northern states and Canada are most often found to be low in Vitamin D due to a lack of or limited exposure to the sun. I recently had my levels tested only to find out that out of an ideal range of 60 to 100 ng/mL, my levels were 25.15 ng/mL.

So what does that mean?

Vitamin D deficiency can cause any of the following (all which I have been experiencing)

  • inability to lose weight as well as increased weight gain
  • thyroid problems
  • insulin resistance
  • muscle fatigue
  • among many other things

Benefits of Vitamin D

  • encourages absorption of calcium
  • regulates immune system
  • linked to maintaining a healthy body weight
  • regulates blood pressure

Be sure to get your levels check!
