It’s that time of year again where the air is crisp, the windshields are frosted and the tea cups are ever steaming.  At HealthyGirl we’re always looking for healthy, organic teas with a variety of flavors and this weekend I ordered a few from our friends at Language of the Leaf.  The Biscotti Black Tea and Organic Green Tea:

Green Genmaicha:
Also known as ‘popcorn’ tea, this interesting variation of green tea combines Japanese Sencha with roasted and partially puffed rice, providing a pleasing toasty flavour. First concocted years ago by Japanese peasants to make their tea go further, Genmaicha was popularized in more recent times by city dwellers in reverse-chic fashion. It is now enjoyed throughout North America and Europe.
