I recently started a 10 week session of Yogilates. It can also be known as core fusion, yoga fusion or fusion yoga pilates. I love it! Yogilates is a combination of yoga and pilates – a class that incorporates stretches, poses, balancing, breathing, strengthening and toning exercises. Pilates focuses on isolating small muscle groups with intense exercises that target those areas. In combination with the flexibility and strengthening exercises and poses in yoga, Yogilates offers a challenging and dynamic cardiovascular workout. It also provides relaxation benefits through various breathing exercises.
During these classes, I find that if you truly concentrate and focus on breathing and using your core, you feel the benefits of the exercises. It becomes a full-body workout that results in a leaner, stronger and more balanced you!
